The Global Public Policy Conference (GPPC) is a
flagship event of the World Information Technology and Services Alliance
(WITSA) -
a consortium of over 67 information technology (IT) industry associations from
economies around the world.
This international conference focuses on global policies affecting
the IT industry and is attended by over 500 senior executives, government
officials and policy makers. One of the principal reasons for participating is
that ICTE companies gain an excellent opportunity to target their products and
services at policy makers and business leaders.
Taking place once every
two years and commencing in 1999, the conference is hosted in a different
country each time, with the leading
ICTE association of that country organizing the event. In November 2007, GPPC
will be coming to Egypt with the Egyptian
Information, Telecommunications, Electronics and Software Alliance (Eitesal) as
the organizer.
Eitesal was established in April 2004 as Egypt's
main ICTE association driving the development, promotion and transformation of
the Egyptian information, telecommunications, electronics
and software industry.
